Context Menu

Introduction

The packet list context menu allows you to perform certain operations on individual packets.

Accessing the Context List

You can access the context list for a packet by right clicking on a packet in the packet list:

This operation wil reveal the above options.

Edit Packet

This brings up the packet editor dialog, which is covered later on in the guide.

Copy

Packet Edit Studio allows you to copy packet data in several formats:

• CArray: Copies data as an array of uchars in C programming language format.
• Ascii: Copies raw ascii data.
• Hex: Copies hex dump of the data.
• Packet View: Copies formatted hex dump, ascii view, and offsets
• Data: Copies the actual packet data

Save As

This option allows you to save a ".pck" file containing the packet data, as well as some information PEStudio uses to load and view the packet in the packet editor dialog.
